Editing
Palette Entry
|
Right clicking
any palette icon brings up several options
- Duplicate:
Make a copy
- Rename: Change
the name
- Delete: Remove
it from the palette
- Redefine
on Drop: This is for features. If this is selected the feature
definition pop box (extrusion, revolve etc..) will automatically
open when the feature is dropped
- Set Icon:
Change the icon.
- Properties:
Add textual information to the palette
Many of these features are not active for objects that are built
into the palette. When you make your own palette entries all of
these options will be available.

Creating
a User Defined Palette
|
To create your
own user defined palette you first need to create some new folders
using windows explorer
- In windows
explorer create a new folder. Name the folder what you want to
call the user defined palette (ie Steve's Palette)
- Inside this
new folder, create more new folders. The new folders inside will
be the tabs of the user defined palette. (tab1, tab2 etc...)
- In Pro/D,
right click in an open space on the palette and chose User Palette
Location
- Browse out
to you new folder (Steve's Palette)
- Select OK
This folder
can be given to other users and they can use it as their user define
palette. This is very powerful for groups that need to quickly create
the same objects over and over.
